Bark Tanned Sheepskin | Hunter
This premium bark-tanned sheepskin will make a beautiful legacy textile in your home. Hunter measures 44 × 24” with 2” of dense cream and brown fiber. There are some larger butcher holes in the leather that are somewhat noticeable through the fiber.
Driftless is selling this sheepskin on consignment for Full Measure Farm.
Full Measure Farm is nestled in the beautiful hardwoods of Northern Michigan and cared for by Christopher and Kindra and their 3 kiddos. All of the pasture the sheep are raised on is organically managed and the sheep are moved around almost daily to eat all of the grass. The sheep on this farm all have names as well as plenty of personality. Their wool is nice and clean thanks to plenty if room to roam and safe for your skin. According to Kindra they “never use any chemical treatments on them ever. Thanks to some of the Romeldale and Finn genetic traits our fleeces are generally spotted, colored or even showing a wool texture variation throughout the fleece!” These are super fun... enjoy.
Driftless Tannery works with farmers to ethically tan sheepskin. They offer their products for eco-conscious consumers. Whether used on chairs or beds, sheepskin can help relieve aches and pains, regulate body temperature, and are hypoallergenic. The tannery believes in using the whole animal and always treating people and the environment with respect.
Thank you so much for looking, and for supporting our journey into natural tanning.
