Driftless Tannery is located in Southwestern Wisconsin’s beautiful driftless region. The Tannery is a small, women-owned and operated company that strives to treat animals, the environment, and their customers with respect.
Every hide is tanned naturally and responsibly, without the use of heavy metals or harsh chemicals, giving farmers and retail clients beautiful sheepskin and goat hides, naturally.
Offering tanning services to farmers for value-added items for their farms and gathering hides that would otherwise become a part of the waste stream is an important part of what Driftless Tannery does.
Dedication to the craft of tanning is a way of supporting farmers, and of honoring the animals by preserving their beauty.
Doing so naturally, without harmful chemicals, supports the Tannery’s mission to protect and preserve water quality and the environment.
