These premium bark-tanned sheepskin chair pads (or pet bed) are very durable. They are not cut to a pattern but instead are cut for maximum real estate. Feel free to trim to fit your chair or keep them as they are with a bit more unique flare. Each measures a minimum of 18 x 20” with 1” of soft, dense fiber (some have a bit longer staple). There are a few small butcher holes that are only noticeable on the leather side, not through the fiber.

Our hides are handmade labors of love, from the fleshing stage, to washing, tanning and final stretching and buffing. Chair pads are made with less than full sized sheepskin. Those skins that were torn during the butcher process and are too oddly shaped to be used as full-sized sheepskin. It is an honor and pleasure to support the efforts of our farmers and butchers or rescue these items from the waste bin, even the less than perfect ones.
